Logistics Executive (Off role)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Order Fulfilment: Coordinate with the sales team to manage order processing, shipment planning, and delivery schedules. Distribution Planning: Organize and optimize the distribution of finished goods from manufacturing units to warehouses, distributors, and customers. Logistics Coordination: Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels at distribution points and coordinate replenishments as needed. Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping and export documents such as invoices, packing lists, delivery challans, E-way bills, etc. Cost Control: Monitor logistics costs and work on cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on service levels. Compliance: Ensure all distribution activities comply with legal, safety, and quality standards. Customer Service: Handle logistics-related customer queries, delivery follow-ups, and complaints resolution. System Updates: Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) regarding dispatches, inventories, and logistics KPIs. Reporting: Generate and analyze regular logistics and distribution reports for management review. Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations in a manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control. Familiarity with ERP software (e.g., SAP SD/MM modules). Excellent communication and coordination skills. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Qualification: Bachelors degree (BE and Diploma) or related field. 15 years of relevant experience in logistics/sales and distribution, preferably in a manufacturing company.
