Logging and Auditing Specialist, OpenSearch/Logstash

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set up and configure the Open Search Stack (Open Search, Dashboards, Logstash, Beats). Implement and handle content such as alerts, dashboards, and visualizations in Open Search Dashboards. Configure Logstash, Filbert, and other Beats to collect and store log data based on business requirements. Ensure operational readiness and resolve production issues related to log ingestion and analysis. PAnalyze performance of Open Search clusters. Conduct regular health checks on Open Search clusters and indices. Analyze slow logs and optimize poorly performing queries. Solve performance issues Improve and grow indices as required. Collaborate with customers capture requirements, clarify dependencies, and support functional and non-functional testing

How You ll Make an Impact

• Expert-level hands-on experience with Open Search, Logstash, and Open Search Dashboards
• Solid understanding of log analytics, query optimization, and index management
• Experience with NIDS, HIDS, FIM, and endpoint protection tools
• Ability to deploy and tune Open Search and Logstash configurations
• Familiarity with Docker based container orchestration Docker Swarm
• Proficient in setting up various Beats (Filbert, Metric beat, Auditbeat, etc.) and securing data transfers
• Skilled in writing search queries, building dashboards, and crafting visualizations

What You Bring

• BE / B. Tech / M. Tech / MSc S/ MCA or equivalent with 3+ years work experience in IT
• Familiarity with Open Search REST APIs, shards, and cluster operations
• Ability to write Logstash parsers and handle pipeline configurations
• Solid command of Linux environments and system-level troubleshooting
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, JFrog)
• Knowledge on Kubernetes container orchestration
• Automation skills using PowerShell, Chef, or Ansible
• Component ownership: testing, verification, documentation, release management, and training material development. Knowledge on Elastic Search
• Infrastructure Knowledge (Server / Storage / Network). ITIL knowledge. Have experience with various cloud providers (Azure/AWS/ GCP ). Have worked in an agile environment (SAFe/ Scrum/ Kanban)
