Design, develop and maintain Linux kernel module and device drivers (character/block/network drivers, USB, PCIe, SPI)
Debug and optimize drivers for performance, power efficiency, and stability.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and application teams to define requirements and resolve issues.
Analyze kernel logs, crashes, and dumps using tools like KGDB, KDB, ftrace, perf, and ASan.
Contribute to upstream kernel development where applicable.
Document driver design, integration steps, and troubleshooting procedures.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ with a solid understanding of Linux kernel internals.
Experience in writing and debugging Linux device drivers.
Knowledge of kernel-space vs user-space programming.
Hands-on experience with cross-compilation, kernel build systems (Makefile, Kbuild, Yocto, or Buildroot).
Familiarity with communication buses like IC, SPI, UART, PCIe, USB.
Good understanding of operating system concepts (memory management, interrupts, scheduling, synchronization).
Strong debugging skills using GDB, KGDB, strace, perf, and other Linux tools.
