Linux Administrator

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Linux System Administrator to install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability, in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and maintain Linux operating systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including user access controls.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like Bash or Python and tools like Ansible.
• Manage server storage and file systems.
  

Required qualifications

• Proven work experience ( 5-6 years ) as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line interface.
• Building and supporting RHEL 8 linux servers in Azure.
• Experience with server hardware and management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
• Automation: Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Cloud: Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

• Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
