Job Summary

LiDAR Data Annotation Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Accurately label
3D LiDAR point clouds
including vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, road elements, and environmental features according to project guidelines.
Create and manage
bounding boxes, semantic/instance segmentation, cuboids
, and object tracking annotations on LiDAR datasets.
Ensure
data quality, consistency, and accuracy
by conducting regular validation checks and corrections.
Work with annotation and visualization tools such as
Labelbox, CVAT, Supervisely, Scale AI, or proprietary platforms.
Collaborate with QA leads, data scientists, and engineering teams to clarify labeling requirements and improve annotation workflows.
Maintain documentation of annotation processes, conventions, and project progress.
Provide feedback on annotation tool improvements and workflow enhancements.

Required Qualifications

1 to 5 years
of experience in data annotation with a strong focus on
LiDAR/3D point cloud annotation (mandatory)
.
Proficiency in LiDAR annotation tools and software (Labelbox, CVAT, Supervisely, etc.).
Strong understanding of LiDAR data structures, formats and 3D annotation concepts such as cuboids and semantic segmentation.
Excellent
attention to detail
, accuracy, and ability to meet project targets.
Good communication skills with the ability to follow complex guidelines and collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to
autonomous driving, robotics, ADAS, or perception systems
projects.
Knowledge of 2D image annotation and multi-sensor fusion techniques.
Experience with quality assurance processes for annotated datasets.
