The role of a Librarian is vital in supporting both academic and personal growth of learners, as well as assisting teachers and staff. The school librarian helps create a positive learning environment by managing resources, fostering a love of reading, and providing instructional support.

We are a Preschool to Grade 12 school in the city of Rajkot (Gujarat) founded by Harvard alums. Our unique pedagogy, the Northstar Approach, is a research-based approach to learning and teaching that helps students achieve their highest potential by exploring and making discoveries about themselves and their world. Responsibilities:

• Effective conduction of Library Slots

• Organize all library resources so they are easy to locate

• Maintain and update all Library and resource stock database

• Coordinate and create community programs that increase library awareness

• Evaluate library inventory needs and place orders

• Identify technology needs and make recommendations

• Creating awareness campaigns to highlight library services, events, and new resources

• Ensure resources are used efficiently

• Suggest in developing library policies, including usage guidelines, and related rules

• Managing systems for issuing and returns of books, journals, and other materials, and ensuring materials are returned on time.

• Leading initiatives to digitize physical records and archives for easier access and long-term preservation

• Assisting in all school events as and when duties are assigned.

Qualifications:

Need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent training, education, and experience with effective English communication, proficient in content creation and management, 2-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
