Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day functioning of the school library
• Curate, catalogue, and maintain physical and digital library resources
• Support students and teachers in research, reading programs, and academic projects
• Plan and organize library-related events such as:
• Book fairs
• Author interactions
• Reading weeks / literary festivals
• Book clubs and storytelling sessions
• Promote a strong reading culture across all grades
• Guide students on information literacy, referencing, and ethical use of resources
• Maintain library records, inventory, and circulation systems (manual/software-based)
• Coordinate with faculty to align library resources with curriculum requirements
• Ensure the library environment is welcoming, disciplined, and well-organized
• Display new arrivals, thematic collections, and student work creatively

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib) – Mandatory
• Prior experience in a school library (CBSE / ICSE / IB preferred)
• Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital resources
