Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Librarian to manage our library’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and improving our collection of books and digital resources, while providing a welcoming environment for all library users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the cataloging, classification, and indexing of books and resources.
• Assist visitors in locating and accessing books, journals, and digital materials.
• Maintain an organized, quiet, and welcoming library environment.
• Oversee book lending, returns, and fine collection processes.
• Keep accurate records of books issued, returned, and damaged.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in library management and information services.
• Ensure proper maintenance and preservation of library materials.
• Organize reading programs, workshops, and library events.
• Monitor and manage digital resources and e-library services.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
• Proficiency in library management systems (LMS).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to assist readers and students in research and book selection.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc) from a recognized university.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of library automation software will be an added advantage.
