Job Title:

Position Summary:

Manager – Liaisoning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Liaisoning & Representation:

    • Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and various government departments and regulatory bodies in Gujarat.
    • Manage all interactions with the

      Food & Drug Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Factory Inspectorate, Labour Office, Municipal Authorities, etc.

    • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of documents related to licenses, approvals, and regulatory filings.
  • License & Approval Management:

    • Ensure smooth and timely acquisition/renewal/amendment of licenses such as

      Drug Manufacturing Licenses (Form 25/28), GPCB NOCs, CCA, Environmental Consents, Factory License, Fire NOC, etc.

    • Coordinate with internal teams and consultants to prepare documentation and respond to regulatory queries.
  • Compliance Tracking:

    • Maintain an up-to-date tracker of all liaisoning activities, renewal timelines, inspection dates, and obligations to ensure 100% compliance.
    • Proactively mitigate risks of non-compliance by identifying potential regulatory gaps and taking corrective action.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and nurture cordial and professional relationships with key officers at government departments to facilitate smooth communication and timely clearances.
    • Attend meetings, public hearings, and inspections representing the organization’s interest.
  • Support to Projects and Operations:

    • Provide regulatory support in commissioning of new plants, site expansions, technology transfers, and layout approvals.
    • Support the team in ensuring compliance with the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and local municipal norms.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain a repository of all licenses, permissions, correspondence, and submission copies.
    • Submit monthly MIS reports on status of liaisoning activities, pending approvals, and renewal schedules.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Law, or Environmental Sciences. A postgraduate or diploma in Regulatory Affairs/Public Administration will be an advantage.
  • Experience:

    Minimum

    8–12 years

    of experience in liaisoning roles within

    pharmaceutical manufacturing (Formulations & APIs)

    , preferably in Gujarat.
  • Sound knowledge of

    Drugs & Cosmetics Act, GPCB norms, Factory Act, Labour Laws, and Industrial safety/environmental regulations

    .

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of state regulatory frameworks relevant to pharmaceuticals.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with government officials and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel across Gujarat for coordination with regulatory bodies and plant locations.
  • Familiarity with digital government portals (FDCA Gujarat, GPCB XGN, etc.)
