Level 3 Designer in Renewable Engineering (PV & BESS Systems)

Level 3 Designer in Renewable Engineering (PV & BESS Systems) Responsibilities:

• Advanced Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex photovoltaic (PV) systems, including detailed site plans, mechanical racking, attachment plans, and electrical schematics.

• Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from conception through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

• Technical Leadership: Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior designers and installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring. • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and stay updated with the latest advancements in PV technology.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and installation, to provide technical expertise and streamline project information.

• Documentation and Reporting: Produce comprehensive technical drawings, documentation, and detailed bills of materials. Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.

• Optimization and Innovation: Perform in-depth energy production calculations and provide recommendations to optimize system performance. Innovate and implement new design methodologies and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or electrical & Electronics Engineering only.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of design or engineering experience related to renewable engineering, particularly PV, EV and BESS engineering design.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP).

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • In-depth knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications in renewable energy or PV systems design are highly preferred.

• Other Requirements: Able to handle a team of 4-5 designers and execute day-to-day tasks
