Job Description

As a Legal PR Officer at our organization, your role will involve managing and enhancing the public image of our legal team or law firm. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR campaigns for legal initiatives, high-profile cases, or firm announcements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and executing strategic PR campaigns for legal initiatives, high-profile cases, or firm announcements. - Drafting press releases, media statements, op-eds, and legal communication materials. - Serving as the primary media liaison, maintaining relationships with legal journalists and media outlets. - Monitoring media coverage of legal matters and preparing media briefings for attorneys and leadership. - Advising legal teams on public communications, crisis management, and reputation risks. - Supporting the legal department in preparing public reports, stakeholder communications, and litigation-related disclosures. - Coordinating with internal departments (e.g., compliance, marketing, HR) to align messaging on legal issues. - Preparing legal PR content for internal newsletters, blogs, social media, and websites. - Tracking PR metrics, media exposure, and public sentiment on legal issues affecting the organization. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Law, Journalism, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in a legal, corporate, or agency environment. - Strong understanding of legal and regulatory terminology. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proven media relations experience, especially in legal or highly regulated sectors. - Ability to work under pressure, particularly in crisis communication situations. - High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters. Preferred skills for this position include: - Experience working with law firms or legal departments. - Familiarity with legal ethics and compliance communications. - Knowledge of legal industry trends and media platforms. In addition to a competitive salary, the benefits offered for this full-time, permanent position include cell phone reimbursement, health insurance, and provident fund. The work schedule includes day shift, fixed shift, weekend availability, and weekend only shifts.
