Role Overview

XXX is looking to hire a proactive and result oriented qualified Legal Counsel to handle the legal aspects of its business. As a legal counsel, you will provide business oriented legal advice and support across various aspects of our business with core focus on litigation management. We look upon you to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and safeguard the interest of the organization.

Responsibilities

• To effectively handle litigations of the organization before various courts/ real estate tribunals and forums like RERA/consumer courts, including strategies to ensure closure.
• To coordinate and maintain healthy professional relationship with external legal counsels on complex legal matters and litigation, ensuring effective representation of organizations interest.
• To represent the organization before courts and tribunals and keep a tab on the proceedings.
• To prepare and update a detailed MIS tracker covering all litigations of the organisation.
• To draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements and business policy documents.
• To advise on regulatory compliance and risk management strategies to mitigate potential legal risk exposure.
• To conduct legal research and analysis to provide informed recommendations to the Management on legal issues impacting the organisation.
• To act as a proactive advisor to the Management on various issues concerning the business.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• Degree in law from a reputed organization and a standing license of being a member of the Bar.
• Minimum 7-8 years of PQE in handling legal matters of a real estate organisation.
• Demonstrated experience of handling litigations before various courts and forums.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex legal issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey legal concepts clearly to the Management.

Preferred:

• Capability to devise proactive and defensive legal strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of working of courts and RERA.
• A team player with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Technology friendly with ability to prepare informative reports.

Location

This is an on-site role and is based at Company’s corporate office in Panchkula.
