About the Role:

Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with hospitals, vendors, distributors, and partners (India + US)
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, data protection (HIPAA, DPDP Act), and medical device regulations
• Manage corporate governance, secretarial responsibilities, and board policies
• Support legal due diligence for fundraising, partnerships, and transactions
• Identify risks, design internal controls, and implement compliance policies (data protection, whistleblower, code of conduct, etc.)
• Provide legal training and awareness to internal teams (sales, operations, customer success)

Requirements:

• Experience:

  710 years of legal experience (healthcare, SaaS, technology, or startups preferred)

• Qualification:

  LLB or equivalent (LLM or CS is a plus)

Skills:

• Strong contract drafting & negotiation skills
• Knowledge of healthcare, IT, data protection, and cross-border compliance
• Ability to simplify legal concepts for business teams
• Independent, proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments
