Leather Technologist @ INDIA.

Leather Technology Expertise:

• Lead and oversee end-to-end leather processing, including tanning, finishing, and quality assurance.
• Ensure innovation in leather treatment techniques to enhance durability, texture, and finish according to market trends and customer requirements.

Process Optimization:

• Develop and optimize sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant leather production processes.
• Evaluate and implement new chemical formulations and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Define and enforce quality standards across various production units and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to international leather regulations and certifications.

Product Development:

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams for the development of new leather collections.
• Play a key role in color matching, finish consistency, and meeting client-specific material standards.

Vendor and Material Sourcing:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable raw material suppliers, ensuring the highest leather grade and consistency.
• Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with production, R&D, and marketing teams to align leather technology innovations with brand goals and consumer needs.

Leadership & Team Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of junior leather technologists and lab technicians.
• Drive training initiatives to keep the team updated on global trends and best practices.

Candidates with international exposure or experience in globally recognized leather companies will be preferred.
