Leaf Buyer

Role Overview: In the assigned geographical area, you will be responsible for supervising tobacco procurement, managing stocks, and ensuring quality as per PMI standards in collaboration with Third Party Manufacturers. You will also assist the GLPD team in leaf grade setting, organizing inspection, and supervising agreed standards of blending in GLT. Your role will involve liaising with Third Party Manufacturers and other stakeholders for leaf tobacco management, processing schedule, and ensuring logistics as per plan. Additionally, you will be accountable for supervising and reporting that manufacturing at Third Party Manufacturers meets all quantity, quality, and costs as per PMI and Contractual standards. You will also manage Tobacco Leaf Analysis samples, organize data as per PMI Standards, and update relevant systems at PMI. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise leaf tobacco purchase by Third Party Manufacturers and Suppliers for Domestic and Export requirements with respect to quality and cost. - Arrange leaf grade inspection in grade setting exercise and prepare reports including grade quality standards as per PMI specification. - Manage pre-blending blocks manufacturing at Third Party GLT, ensuring leaf quality parameters as per PMI standards and reporting to relevant stakeholders. - Schedule leaf processing at GLT, manage logistics to Primary manufacturing at Third Party Manufacturers as per production plan. - Manage tobacco leaf analysis and data management for all leaf grades. - Assist the team in forecasting leaf requirement each cropping season in the assigned geography and assisting the GLPD team in planning. - Liaise with Indonesia Lab for Sample analysis and create a data repository. - Ensure cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, operations, and S&OP & Demand planning team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/Masters degree in science, Agriculture. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leaf tobacco buying, grading, and processing. - Comprehensive knowledge of green leaf quality and grading system. - Profound knowledge of processing quality parameters in Green Leaf Threshing. - Basic computer skills like MS Office and experience working with systems like SAP, PLM are an advantage. - Proficient in English (written and spoken).,
