Lead/Principal Forward Deployed Engineer - AI/Agentforce

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Salesforce, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative AI solutions to our strategic clients. Your responsibilities will include leading the architectural design and development of scalable production systems, strategizing data landscapes, driving innovation on the Agentforce platform, and mentoring junior team members. You will have a direct impact on shaping the technical vision, ensuring successful deployment, and optimizing long-term reliability and scalability of mission-critical AI applications. Your main focus will be on architecting and leading transformative solutions by applying AI and Large Language Models to create intelligent agents and automate complex workflows. You will take ownership of complex data ecosystems, design data models, and establish integration strategies to support cutting-edge AI applications. Additionally, you will drive innovation on the Agentforce platform, contribute to its evolution, and develop bespoke intelligent agents to deliver high-value business processes. In this role, you will operate with an entrepreneurial and strategic spirit, championing rapid prototyping, iterative development, and high-impact solution delivery. You will collaborate closely with senior client teams, translate business needs into technical requirements, and ensure seamless deployment and long-term optimization of solutions. Your role will also involve providing feedback to influence product enhancements and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, along with at least 10 years of experience in delivering scalable production solutions. You should possess expertise in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, and Apex, as well as hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies and enterprise data platforms. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to travel as needed are also essential qualifications for this role. Preferred qualifications include expert-level experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and/or the Agentforce platform, prior experience in a lead technical role, and comprehensive knowledge across Salesforce CRM platforms.
