As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking (Wealth Management), you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Involve in a highly complex modernization initiative to solve time bound tasks
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Strong Technical skill in Java/J2EE , Spring , Springboot
• Strong in RDBMS concepts; PL/SQL knowledge, ORM - Awareness and basic Linux/UNIX
• Hands-on experience on Intellij, Maven, BitBucket/GIT, Test Automation and JIRA
• Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project life-cycle
• Take ownership of business-critical and complex applications
• Identify technical improvements, Process Improvements, innovative solutions and suggest
• Expertise in Java/J2EE hands on
• Code Reviews PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management Exposure to web services (WSDL or WADL), concepts and implementation

• Conversant with UI frameworks Angular, REACT, JavaScript
• Amazon Web Services / Cloud Foundry
• Good to have knowledge of Cloud containers , CI/CD tools
• Good to have knowledge of Apache Kafka, or other messaging systems
