Job Description

1. Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve annual sales targets for the Retail Business segment in Gujarat.

  • Expand the customer base across all Renewable Energy (RE) segments

including Wind, Solar, and Hybrid.

  • Build Suzlons brand image and ensure it becomes the preferred choice for RE

solutions.

  • Create and execute state-level sales strategy, ensuring alignment with

broader business objectives.

  • Drive market intelligence efforts and track competitors to gain strategic edge.

  • Develop compelling proposals and sales pitches to win new business

opportunities.

2. Objectives

  • Ensure delivery of targeted sales revenue and volume for Gujarat.

  • Enhance Suzlons market share in the state across all RE verticals.

  • Develop differentiated and customer-centric value propositions.

  • Establish Suzlon as a trusted brand and partner for small and medium

renewable energy investors.

3. Accountability

  • Accountable for end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to contract

finalization.

  • Maintain sales funnel discipline and ensure timely conversion of opportunities.

  • Track and improve customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Support the State Head in driving overall state-level business initiatives.

4. Strategy & Planning

  • Design and implement an annual sales plan for Gujarat based on market

potential and business goals.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (marketing, finance, delivery, land) to

create an integrated execution roadmap.

  • Forecast market demand trends and align sales efforts accordingly.

5. Financial Management

  • Deliver on revenue targets within the allocated sales budget.

  • Coordinate with the commercial team to develop state-specific pricing

strategies.

  • Ensure cost-effective customer acquisition and resource allocation.

6. Operations and Execution

  • Identify and engage with high-potential customers in the RE sector.

  • Conduct market mapping and segment prioritization.

  • Monitor project progress and align with delivery teams for timely execution.

7. Risk Management

  • Identify risks related to competitive threats, customer satisfaction, and

payment delays.

  • Proactively manage objections, delays, and bottlenecks in sales execution.

8. Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial approvals, and

contractual obligations.

  • Maintain accuracy and transparency in sales documentation and reporting.

9. Future Sustainability

  • Continuously scan for new opportunities in emerging RE segments and

business models.

  • Develop partnerships or alliances that support long-term revenue

diversification.

10. People Management

  • Provide functional guidance and mentoring to junior sales personnel (if

any).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure team alignment and

motivation.

11. KPI

  • Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.

  • Growth in customer base and repeat business.

  • Win-rate vs. competition.

  • Proposal success ratio.

  • Customer satisfaction/NPS score.

  • Market intelligence reporting and insights shared.
