Lead QA Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer with 8+ years of experience in quality engineering and automation. This full-time role reports to the QA Manager and offers a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will mentor team members, drive test strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Mentor and guide QA team members in best practices and automation techniques. Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions for UI, API, and ETL. Test Strategy: Define and implement test strategies, including writing test plans and estimating efforts. Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. CI/CD Integration: Enhance automation pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews for test scripts and frameworks to ensure quality and maintainability. Must-Have Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelors/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 8+ years in software testing and automation. Programming: Strong proficiency in Java and OOP principles. UI Automation: Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright, including Page Object Model development. API Testing: Expertise in RestAssured, Postman, and JSON/XML schema validation. ETL & Database Testing: Proficient in SQL, data validation, and ETL testing from relational/NoSQL databases. Automation Frameworks: Proven ability to design and maintain custom automation frameworks. Good-to-Have Skills and Qualifications Performance testing experience with JMeter or Gatling. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Proficient in Git and version control strategies.
