Lead QA Automation Developer: We re on the hunt for a hands-on Lead QA Developer who eats bugs for breakfast and dreams in Playwright scripts. You won t just architect and mentor you ll be in the trench doing the heavy lifting yourself, writing and maintaining automation code day in, day out. If you love rolling up your sleeves to build bullet-proof test suites and still enjoy coaching a team, this is your playground! Key Responsibilities Hands-On Automation Development Personally design, develop and maintain a scalable Playwright automation framework modular, maintainable, and write-once, run everywhere. Author and troubleshoot complex test scripts for E2E, regression, smoke, and API testing. Automation Strategy & Best Practices Define coding standards, reusable libraries and CI/CD integration for smooth, reliable pipeline runs. Test Planning & Execution Translate product requirements and user stories into exhaustive manual and automated test scenarios. Execute, review and optimise test suites to ensure high coverage and reliability. Team Leadership & Mentorship Grow and coach a team of QA engineers conduct code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and knowledge-sharing workshops. Balance your own coding contributions with guiding the team toward automation maturity. Collaboration & Advocacy Partner with Product, DevOps and Development to shift quality left be a vocal champion of TDD, risk analysis and root cause investigations. Quality Metrics & Reporting Define and track KPIs (test coverage, defect leakage, automation pass rate). Present clear, impact-focused dashboards to leadership. Must-Have Skills & Experience Overall QA Background: Minimum 5+ years of solid QA experience, covering both manual testing and hands-on automation. Deep Playwright Expertise: At least 2 years building and maintaining Playwright suites in JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong Coding Foundations: Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript or C#; comfortable with async/await patterns and modern coding practices. Web & API Testing: Proven ability to test SPAs, micro-frontends and RESTful APIs (e.g., Playwright s APIRequest). CI/CD Integration: Hands-on with Azure DevOps or similar configuring automated runs, gating, parallelization and reporting. Agile Fluency: Thrives in Scrum/Kanban environments, balancing speed with quality. Leadership & Ownership: Track record of leading by example writing code alongside the team and driving process improvements.
