Lead- Procurement

A leading client of Empower Resources requires Lead- Procurement for a manufacturing company.
JD:

Key Responsibilities:CAPEX Procurement:

• Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for capital goods including machinery, equipment, tools, and infrastructure-related materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, projects, and finance teams to understand technical requirements and budget constraints.
• Float RFQs/RFPs, evaluate techno-commercial bids, and negotiate with suppliers for CAPEX items.
• Lead contract finalization and ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
• Work closely with project teams to align procurement with project timelines.

Import Procurement:

• Handle international sourcing for machinery, spare parts, raw materials, and services.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and banks for import documentation (LC, Bill of Lading, HS Code classification, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with EXIM policies, import duty structures, and government regulations.
• Track shipments, manage Incoterms (FOB, CIF, etc.), and ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Manage vendor relationships with overseas suppliers and ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
