Role & responsibilities

Counseling Strategy & Delivery

• Define the student journey roadmap from early high school to college applications.
• Provide expert guidance on admissions strategy, extracurriculars, essays, and interviews.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage across multiple destinations (US, UK, Canada, Australia).

Product Development Input

• Partner with product/tech teams to convert counseling workflows into an AI powered platform.
• Share feedback on features like career roadmaps, checklists, essay reviews, and smart notes.
• Identify where human mentoring is essential vs. automation opportunities.

Team Leadership & Training

• Mentor and train junior counselors as the team grows.
• Establish SOPs, best practices, and quality benchmarks for student counseling.
• Build a strong student-first culture.

Parent & Student Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor for students and high-net-worth families.
• Clearly communicate the companys value proposition in high-stakes admissions journeys.

Market Insight & Continuous Learning

• Stay updated on global admissions trends, visa policies, and university requirements.
• Provide insights to keep the company competitive against leading agencies (Crimson, Athena, The Red Pen).

Qualification & Experience

• 6 to 10 years of experience in undergraduate overseas admissions counseling (experience with Athena, Crimson, The Red Pen, or similar preferred).
• Deep expertise in US & UK admissions, with knowledge of Canada, Australia, and other destinations.
• Strong understanding of essays, extracurricular strategy, and standardized tests (SAT/ACT, UCAS, IB, AP).
• Prior experience in a startup/early-stage environment preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills for both students and parents.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product and tech teams.
