LEAD - Innovation and Development

As a REACT Innovation and Development Lead at Kumaraguru College of Technology, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of the REACT program, which focuses on Real-world Experience & Application through Collaborative Transformation. Your main responsibilities will include: - Lead the full REACT lifecycle, including Pre-selection, Selection, Onboarding, Field Immersion, Problem Validation, Solution Development, and Implementation. - Coordinate effectively between students, mentors, and partner organizations to ensure smooth execution. - Maintain detailed documentation, dashboards, and progress tracking for all projects. Additionally, you will: - Work closely with field teams, engineers, and domain experts to transform validated problems into implementable prototypes and pilots. - Support testing, iteration, and scaling of solutions. - Identify opportunities for funding, incubation, or commercialization of validated ideas. In this role, you will also be expected to: - Contribute to vision-building and system design for the future of REACT. - Develop frameworks, processes, and operational models for efficient project delivery. - Shape strategies across different themes such as Tech for Farmers, HealthTech, and Sustainable Infrastructure. Furthermore, you will: - Build and manage strong relationships with industry partners, NGOs, and experts. - Facilitate collaborations for field immersion, mentorship, and solution validation. - Represent REACT in various innovation forums at institutional, corporate, and global levels. Your ideal candidate profile should include: - 3-8 years of experience in innovation ecosystems, startup incubators, R&D programs, or social impact initiatives. - Expertise in project lifecycle management from concept to field implementation. - Ability to build cross-sector partnerships and manage technical or interdisciplinary teams effectively. You should possess: - Strong understanding of engineering or science-based projects and social systems. - Proven ability to translate field challenges into practical, scalable solutions. - Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Financial and operational management capability. - Self-driven, systems thinker who can work independently and develop projects from scratch. Educationally, you should have: - B.E./B.Tech in Engineering, or M.Sc in Science, Sustainability, or Environment. - Preference for additional degrees such as M.Des, M.Tech, MBA, MPP, or MS in Innovation, Design, or Development fields. - Interdisciplinary profiles combining tech, social, and management are encouraged.
