Job Description

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will play a vital role as a key member of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering infrastructure and performance excellence. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the future of one of the world's largest and most influential companies. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will have the opportunity to continue evolving your technical expertise and cross-functional knowledge beyond your current domain of expertise. Your responsibilities will include applying technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope. You will drive workstreams or projects involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, collaborating with other platforms to architect and implement changes necessary to resolve issues and modernize technology processes within the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing creative solutions, troubleshooting technical issues of moderate complexity, and considering upstream/downstream data and systems implications while advising on mitigation actions. Furthermore, you will be involved in conducting research, designing and engineering network perimeter DMZ switching and routing environments, introducing new feature requirements for clients, developing and maintaining scripts for device pave/repave, and automating day-to-day tasks. You will also be tasked with developing engineering standards and artifacts for certified products, serving as the escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery teams, and coordinating cross-team efforts while collaborating with stakeholders. To qualify for this position, you should have formal training or certification in infrastructure disciplines concepts along with at least 5 years of applied experience. You should possess deep knowledge in one or more areas of infrastructure engineering, such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and knowledge of cloud infrastructure, multiple cloud technologies, DMZ architecture, and Cisco data center fabric are also essential. Experience with software development, general-purpose programming/scripting languages, DevOps tools, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, network security technologies, and Agile methodologies will be beneficial. Preferred qualifications include CCIE certification, strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills in a large enterprise environment.,
