Lead I - Frontend

Role Overview: As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at UST in Trivandrum, you will be responsible for designing and developing performant, scalable, and visually consistent web applications using React and modern CSS/UI libraries. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build exceptional user interfaces, contribute to architecture and process improvements, and ensure high-quality features are delivered. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of frontend components using React and TypeScript. - Apply modern CSS techniques to build responsive and accessible UIs. - Work with UI frameworks such as Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Ant Design, or Bootstrap for rapid interface development. - Implement server-side rendering using Remix or similar frameworks. - Optimize frontend performance through testing and profiling. - Write and maintain end-to-end tests using Cypress or Playwright or Selenium. - Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features. - Utilize state management solutions like Redux, Zustand, or Context API. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployment processes. - Promote best practices in frontend development, including web security, accessibility, and testing. Qualification Required: - 6+ years of experience in frontend development, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. - Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. - Deep experience with React and its ecosystem. - Hands-on experience with Remix or similar server-rendered frameworks. - Strong grasp of frontend architecture, component design, and UI patterns. - Experience in Writing end-to-end tests using Cypress or Playwright or Selenium. - Experience with performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines. - Understanding of web security best practices. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
