Lead Engineer - Technology Intelligence & IP

As a Lead Engineer - IP and Technology Intelligence at Eaton in Pune, India, your role is crucial in identifying, developing, and implementing IP and technology intelligence practices across all Eaton businesses. Your responsibilities include providing leadership on technical/competitive intelligence, contributing to IP differentiation and positioning for various programs, and serving as an expert on technology intelligence and IP Analytics. You will be expected to drive actionable IP & technology intelligence for key strategic themes at sector level, deliver impactful recommendations to senior leadership, and provide mentorship to the team to enhance their work product, deliveries, quality, and efficiency. Additionally, you will lead team level & sector level initiatives to build capabilities for the organization and contribute to developing IP differentiation by conducting patent searches and collaborating with IP Counsel and engineering to create a robust IP Portfolio aligned to product line/technology roadmaps. Furthermore, you will collaborate with global R&D and Innovation teams to identify opportunities of engagement, improve innovation effectiveness, and align IP solutions with business needs and strategy. Qualifications: - Masters/Bachelors in Electrical/Power electronics/Power systems with experience in Intellectual property and Technology/Competitive intelligence - Minimum 10 years of experience Skills: - Effective Communicator - Collaborative orientation - Strategic Agility - Drive for results - Problem Solving - Ability to create new work packages, coordinate from concept to implementation stage, and manage deliverables executed by multi-disciplinary teams - Understanding of mega-trends, ability to proactively identify and communicate relevant disruptive trends - Strong influencing skills to drive people/activities on complex technical issues - Proficient in report and technical writing, with the ability to communicate effectively and achieve results in multi-disciplinary teams - Well-versed in technologies related to Power electronics, Vehicle Electrification, Circuit Protection, or Grid Solutions - Prior experience in technology intelligence and Innovation management would be an added advantage In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, drive innovation, and make a significant impact on the organization's IP and technology intelligence practices.,
