Lead Engineer - Technology Intelligence & IP

As a Lead Engineer - IP and Technology Intelligence at Eaton in Pune, India, your role will involve identifying, developing, and implementing IP and technology intelligence practices across all Eaton businesses. You will be expected to provide leadership on technical and competitive intelligence, contributing to IP differentiation and positioning within the organization. Your responsibilities will include: - Sharing reports and insights on trends within the organization, highlighting whitespace for solution development. - Driving actionable IP and technology intelligence for key strategic themes at the sector level and delivering impactful recommendations to senior leadership. - Providing mentorship to the team to improve their work product, deliveries, quality, and efficiency, thereby creating force multipliers for new competencies. - Leading team and sector level initiatives to build capabilities for the organization. - Contributing to developing IP differentiation by conducting patent searches and collaborating with IP Counsel and engineering to create a robust IP Portfolio aligned with product line/technology roadmaps. - Collaborating with global R&D and Innovation teams to identify opportunities for engagement and improve innovation effectiveness. - Demonstrating the ability to analyze large amounts of data, connect multiple data sources, and generate actionable insights for the progression of technology and IP creation. Qualifications: - Masters or Bachelors in Electrical/Power Electronics/Power Systems with experience in Intellectual Property and Technology/Competitive Intelligence. - 10+ years of experience. Skills Required: - Effective Communicator, Collaborative orientation, Strategic Agility, Drive for results, Problem Solving. - Ability to create new work packages, coordinate from concept to implementation stage, and manage deliverables executed by multi-disciplinary teams. - Understanding mega-trends and proactively identifying and communicating relevant disruptive trends for timely informed decision-making. - Ability to influence and drive people/activities on complex technical issues. - Strong report and technical writing skills, with the capability to drive results while working in multi-disciplinary teams. - Proficiency in technologies related to Power Electronics, Vehicle Electrification, Circuit Protection, or Grid Solutions. Prior experience in technology intelligence and Innovation management will be an added advantage.,
