Role Overview

The Lead Engineer is a senior technical leadership position responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of boiler systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, Indian & international regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Currently working in a position of Senior Engineer or Equivalent position, in the field of Boiler, Pressure vessels and Heat exchangers / static equipment design in detailing



• 
  

  Fully conversant with IBR, ASME Sec. I, ASME Sec VIII Div-1, ASME Sec II and requirements of ASME Sec V and ASME Sec IX and familiar with BS 5500



• 
  

  Hands on experience and proficient in performing Mechanical design calculation on PV Elite for Pressure vessels & Heat Exchangers



• 
  

  Responsible for checking and approval of AutoCAD drawing General arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings for IBR, U Stamp Jobs



• 
  

  Should have worked in power plant projects involving WHRB s, HRSG s, Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels etc.



• 
  

  Should be able to handle the complete project independently



• 
  

  Preparation of manufacturing drawings of WHRB (smoke tube and water tube), pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, as per IBR and ASME



• 
  

  Preparation of structure, pipe & its support drawings



• 
  

  Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and technicians



• 
  

  Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering



• 
  

  Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IBR, ASME, API, EN)



• 
  

  Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans



• 
  

  Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., manufacturing, procurement) and external partners (e.g., contractors, suppliers)



• 
  

  Develop and maintain boiler design standards and guidelines



• 
  

  Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)



• 
  

  Communicate technical information to stakeholders (e.g., customers, sales teams)



• 
  

  Develop technical documentation (e.g., manuals, datasheets)



• 
  

  Mentor and develop junior engineers



• 
  

  Layout drawings, GA drawings, foundation drawings



• 
  

  Compact skids

Additional Knowledge

• 
  

  Knowledge of mechanical calculations as per IBR, ASME and calculations for structure, Review of STADD output will be of added advantage

  Excellent skills with PC / Laptop to manage work
