Lead Engineer- Mechanical

Pentair is seeking a CAD Engineer / Specialist with expertise in Computer Aided Drafting and Design utilizing the latest tools and techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling the duties of the Engineering department, focusing on tasks such as 3D modeling, Drawing creation, Tolerance analysis, and Engineering documentation specifically for Centrifugal Pumps and its peripheral equipment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager / Team Lead, you will collaborate with team members in Noida and Overseas on various technical assignments. Depending on the project assignments, Pentair offers valuable insights into the overall product development process, including mechanical design calculations, CAD, prototyping, and testing. The ideal candidate should possess experience in Computer Aided Drafting and Design within the mechanical engineering field. Key responsibilities for this role include: - Creating 3D models and drawings of machine components and assemblies, particularly Centrifugal Pumps, using SolidWorks - Generating different design concepts for pump components - Applying GD&T and verifying tolerance stacks on assemblies before releasing drawings - Implementing VA/VE and product rationalization strategies - Managing manufacturing aspects based on DFA, DFM principles - Overseeing BOM and engineering documentation activities - Coordinating with internal and global counterparts through virtual conference calls or emails Qualifications: - B.E.(Mech), M.E./M.Tech. (from any Mech. Engg. stream) with 4 to 6 years of experience Software Skills: - Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential - Knowledge in solid modeling, surface modeling, assemblies, and drawings - Familiarity with simple structural simulations Other Requirements: - Exceptional drawing reading and understanding skills - Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Good understanding of manufacturing processes like Casting and Machining - Excellent analytical skills - Strong communication and presentation abilities Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer, believing that diversity in the workforce brings different perspectives and creative ideas that drive continuous improvement.
