Job Description

Role Overview: As a CAD Engineer / Specialist at Pentair, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in Computer Aided Drafting and Design to support the Engineering department. Your main focus will be on creating 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation for Centrifugal Pumps and its peripheral equipment. You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and other team members in Noida and overseas to ensure the successful completion of technical assignments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a competitive yet collaborative environment with a dedicated team passionate about craftsmanship and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Creating 3D models and drawings of machine components and assemblies using SolidWorks - Generating different design concepts for pump components - Applying GD&T and conducting tolerance stack-ups on assemblies before releasing drawings - Conducting Value Analysis / Value Engineering and product rationalization - Managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation activities - Coordinating with internal and global counterparts through virtual conference calls or emails Qualifications: - B.E. (Mech), M.E./M.Tech. (from any Mech. Engg. stream) with 4 to 6 years of experience Software Skills: - Expertise in SolidWorks, including solid and surface modeling, assemblies, and drawings - Familiarity with simple structural simulations Other Requirements: - Exceptionally strong drawing reading and understanding skills - Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Good knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Casting and Machining - Excellent analytical skills - Strong communication and presentation skills Note: Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing diversity and cross-cultural insights for continued success.
