Role & responsibilities

Weekend Support & Work Scheduling
Provide and lead weekend hotline support (Saturday and Sunday are mandatory working days). Work schedules will be time-shifted (e.g., WednesdaySunday or ThursdayMonday) to ensure uninterrupted customer coverage. Serve as the technical escalation point for critical customer issues during weekend support. Controls Programming & Technical Leadership Lead the development, testing, optimization, and maintenance of PLC programs using structured text and ladder logic. Establish and enforce programming standards, reusable code libraries, and best practices. Support new product development (NPD) activities, including advanced control features and system enhancements. Control Systems Design & Engineering Lead PLC and HMI programming efforts to meet project-specific automation objectives. Design, review, and approve control system documentation using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Studio 5000, and related tools. Ensure control system designs are scalable, maintainable, and compliant with applicable standards and customer requirements. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all technical documentation. Drive adherence to engineering standards, quality processes, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration, Mentorship & Review Partner with cross-functional teams to support prototype development, testing, and validation activities. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Controls Engineers and junior team members. Review and validate engineering work to ensure high-quality and reliable deliverables. Promote continuous improvement in controls engineering tools, methods, and processes.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
8 to 12 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering. At least 2–3 years of experience in a Lead or Senior Controls Engineering role. Technical Skills Strong expertise in PLC and HMI platforms (Rockwell and Siemens preferred). Proficiency in structured text and ladder logic programming. Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Studio 5000, and similar tools. Knowledge of automated material handling systems, industrial networks, and troubleshooting practices. Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA70, and other applicable electrical and safety standards. Willingness to work weekends and flexible schedules as required.
