Lead - Device Testing

In this role as the Lead for Manual Device Testing at Noise, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards for the smartwatch product line. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing comprehensive manual testing strategies and executing rigorous test cases targeting functionality, connectivity, accuracy, and repeatability. - Identifying and testing critical edge cases and negative scenarios, documenting outcomes clearly for continuous improvement. - Driving stability and battery life validation through scenario-based and long-duration testing. - Conducting detailed security and privacy testing related to communication, data integrity, and location tracking functionality. - Managing and documenting defects and issues discovered during testing, collaborating closely with engineering teams for resolution. - Regularly aligning with Product Managers, Firmware Engineers, and QA teams to maintain product standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate for this role should possess: - 7+ years of hands-on experience in manual device testing, preferably in smartwatches, IoT devices, or similar consumer electronics. - Proven expertise in testing connectivity, video and voice calling, GPS/location tracking, and battery performance. - Strong knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and defect tracking methodologies. - Familiarity with security testing standards and privacy considerations in communication and IoT devices. - Experience using defect tracking tools. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. - Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration. - Proactive approach, ability to independently drive testing initiatives, and a strong sense of ownership. - Effective prioritization skills in a dynamic, fast-paced product development environment.
