Lead Designer and Product Development

As a Designer & Product Development Specialist at JNG, you will play a crucial role in leading concept creation, material innovation, and design execution across various home and lifestyle categories. Your responsibilities will include: - Researching global trends, materials, and finishes in home decor, textiles, hard goods, and furniture to develop forward-looking seasonal collections. - Developing design briefs, CADs, sketches, and prototypes while ensuring product viability for manufacturing and cost efficiency. - Collaborating with global clients to interpret mood boards, color stories, and briefs, translating creative direction into market-appropriate products. - Working closely with factories to develop prototypes, optimize design-to-production timelines, and ensure accurate sampling. - Exploring sustainable materials, finishes, and production techniques in compliance with international standards and environmental protocols. - Driving product innovation across soft goods (home textiles, cushions, rugs, table linens) and hard goods (furniture, lighting, metal, wood, ceramic, glass, and mixed media). - Collaborating with QA and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to buyer standards, safety norms, and sustainability protocols. - Creating professional buyer decks, concept boards, and presentations for trade shows and buyer reviews. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Product Design, Textile Design, or Industrial Design from a reputed institute. - 5-10 years of experience in design and product development for global home and lifestyle markets. - Exposure to US, UK, or European retail standards and product compliance. - Strong understanding of materials, finishes, ergonomics, and packaging. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools, and MS Office. - Excellent visual presentation and communication skills. - Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
