Skilled in issuing RFQs, conducting comparative analyses, negotiating with suppliers across multiple engineering domains, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Proven ability to manage service and job orders while developing new supplier networks to support project execution. Key Responsibilities : Price Discovery Develop and implement a structured system and methodology to align equipment pricing with global material market trends, including proactive monitoring and alerts for fluctuations in both international and domestic metal markets. Collaborate with cross-functional teamsengineering, projects, and designto drive initiatives that reduce lead times and optimize costs. Actively participate in sourcing strategies by leveraging industry best practices and partnering with corporate commodity and sourcing leaders to enhance supplier synergies. Conduct comprehensive benchmarking of equipment and project item prices across all operational sites to ensure competitiveness and consistency. New Vendor Empanelment Identify potential risks within the supply chain and procurement processes, and establish contingency plans through supplier diversification, strategic partnerships, and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Lead supplier due diligence efforts, ensuring the identification and qualification of vendors capable of supporting new product introductions. Perform thorough assessments of supplier capabilities, quality systems, and production capacity through third-party evaluations, internal audits, and feedback from engineering, project, and design teams. Innovation in Materials Facilitate and support material innovation initiatives across project, design, and maintenance teams to promote the adoption of optimal solutions. Develop sourcing strategies that align with new product development objectives, factoring in cost, quality, availability, and supplier capabilities. Proactively manage risks associated with sourcing, supply chain disruptions, and supplier performance to safeguard the successful introduction of new materials. Regular Procurement Activities & Contracting Oversee and support capital expenditure (CAPEX) procurement processes, ensuring high-quality execution and integration of digital procurement initiatives to enhance platform efficiency. Coordinate cross-functional sourcing and procurement activities, aligning timelines and deliverables to support the successful execution of projects. The Person Educational Qualifications: B.E (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Civil) from reputed University with experience of 11-15 years Functional Skills: Person should have sound technical and commercial background.
