Lead Data Scientist

Job Requirements

(Purpose: why thisrole exists)We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our team andcontribute to the development and deployment of ML/AI/GenAI pipelines within theAWS cloud environment. This role will involve both data science and Pythondevelopment responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundationin data science principles and GenAI, experience with AWS, and proficiency inPython programming.

Responsibilities /Expectations

• Pipeline Development and Execution: Develop, deploy, and maintain
  

robust ML/AI/GenAI pipelines within the AWS ecosystem. This includes
data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Cloud Computing: Utilize AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, S3,
  

EC2) to build and optimize data pipelines and model deployments.

• Python Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python
  

code for data manipulation, model development, and pipeline automation.

• Data Analysis and Exploration: Conduct exploratory data analysis to
  

understand data characteristics, identify patterns, and inform model
selection.

• Model Training and Evaluation: Train and evaluate various machine
  

learning and deep learning models, selecting the best performing models
based on business requirements.

• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Technology Team and other Data
  

Scientists to integrate solutions into existing workflows and systems.

• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in
  

AI/ML/GenAI and cloud computing technologies.

• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of
  

pipelines, models, and code.

• Mentor and guide junior data scientists within the team, fostering a

Experience

Required (Min Max year)

• 5-6 years of experience in data science and 2-3 years of experience in
  

GenAI technology.

• Strong expertise in LLM, deep learning, machine learning algorithms
  

(e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning)
and statistical modelling.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Familiarity in developing and deploying E2E AI solutions in cloud
  

platforms (AWS)

• Hands-on Experience with building and deploying ChatBot AI assistants
  

using the RAG framework.

• Good working knowledge of AI Agents and Agentic AI framework
• Should be proficient in using AI enabled coding tools e.g. github copilot,
  

etc.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Gitlab).
• A strong desire to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative
  

environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment
