Lead Data Scientist

As part of the Data Science team at Colruyt Group, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data insights to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with a diverse group of individuals and work towards building a portfolio of data opportunities for specific business partners. Your responsibilities will include: - Building a portfolio of data opportunities for specific business partners based on your knowledge of the data and the business. - Supporting business partners in translating their needs into specific research questions for data science projects. - Applying techniques of data preparation, quality control, completeness, distribution, consistency, outliers, data, or variable transformation. - Using mathematical, statistical, and modeling techniques to analyze data in a suitable environment. - Leveraging statistical analysis to aid strategic decision-making. - Supporting partners in interpreting and applying analysis results correctly. - Training business partners to interpret analysis results independently or translate them into actionable insights. - Collaborating closely with Data Science Engineers to support the data pipeline process. - Evaluating the long-term validity of analytical solutions. - Staying updated on developments in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and optimization, and integrating these into practice. Qualifications required for this role include: - 12+ years of working experience in Data-related projects. - At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist. - In-depth knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis and their application to solve business problems. - Experience in applying various analytical algorithms such as linear and logistic regression, Bayesian analysis, decision trees, random forest, boosting techniques, forecasting, time series, clustering, neural networks, and others. - Proficiency in Python for Data Science activities. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in text mining, NLP, and understanding of image processing. - A degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, AI, ML, or NLP is an added advantage.,
