Lead Data Engineer

As a part of the Monotype Solutions India team, you will be contributing to the company's legacy of bringing brands to life through type and technology, including famed typefaces like Helvetica, Futura, and Times New Roman. Your role will involve collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers on microservices and event-driven architectures to build next-generation features, products, and services. You will also be expected to lead, motivate, and mentor other team members with respect to technical challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement data models, including ER diagrams, dimensional modeling, and normalization techniques. - Work with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). - Utilize data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar tools. - Have knowledge of cloud data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide creative and innovative solutions. - Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Minimum 7-9 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in data architecture. - Proven experience in designing and implementing data models. - Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling tools, and cloud data platforms. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
