Velocitys AI labs is a vertical to leverage AI led solutions for internal Velocity use cases and then deploy them at large scale across the industry. We have started with Vani AI an AI powered super-agent designed to emulate human phone calls. Vani AI delivers outstanding performance by tackling several technical challenges like local language understanding, interruption handling, background noise removal, high conversational accuracy, and super low response latency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analytics Leadership

• Define and execute the overall analytics vision and strategy, aligned with company objectives.
• Prioritize and oversee analytics initiatives across business functions to maximize impact on revenue, product development, and customer experience.

2. Team Management

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data analysts and data engineers.
• Foster a data-driven culture through regular knowledge-sharing, training, and best practices adoption.

3. Product & Project Ownership

• Lead the development of analytics-based products and solutions across all verticals, from conceptualization to deployment.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with strategic goals.

4. Data-Driven Solutions

• Identify areas for improvement and implement analytical solutions that optimize processes, reduce costs, and drive growth.
• Drive the adoption of predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics methodologies to support real-time decision-making.

5. Performance Measurement & Reporting

• Establish KPIs and dashboards that provide actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all analytics outputs.

6. Strategic Influence

• Partner with senior leadership to incorporate analytics into broader business strategies and objectives.
• Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to key stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable steps.

Requirements

• Educational Background

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree in analytics is a plus.

• Professional Experience

• 4-8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence. Experience in analytics consulting and/or high growth startup is mandatory.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling data teams in fast-paced or high-growth environments.

• Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Metabase etc.).
• Experience architecting data pipelines, databases, and data warehousing solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Hands-on familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning models, and predictive analytics.

• Leadership & Communication

• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams, including analysts and data engineers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders with data-backed insights.

• Strategic Mindset

• Strong business acumen, with the capacity to link data initiatives to business outcomes and ROI.
