Lead Contract Counsel

As a Contract Specialist at Tesco, your primary accountability will be to draft and negotiate contracts in diverse areas across the Group. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing specialized contracts legal advice - Facilitating the implementation of standard methodologies, simplified engagement process, and ways of working - Advising on a varied range of commercial contracts - Collaborating closely with specialist in-house lawyers as necessary (e.g. Data Protection, Competition Law, IP) - Considering stakeholder concerns and spotting other issues, working with the business and adding value - Supporting innovation and use of technology to simplify and improve the provision of legal services - Engaging with and supporting other lawyers across the UK and international Tesco group - Ensuring compliance with Tesco Business Code of Conduct and other policies - Representing Talent Acquisition in all forums/seminars pertaining to process, compliance, and audit - Driving continuous improvement culture, implementing CI projects, and fostering innovation within the team You will need to be: - A proactive self-starter who can work autonomously - Flexible and willing to work on a broad range of contracts - Possess excellent project management skills and the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly team-oriented - Possess excellent written skills and attention to detail At Tesco, you will enjoy a unique, differentiated, market-competitive reward package based on current industry practices.
