Lead Architect

Experience:

• 15 to 25 years of experience in architecture, with a focus on industrial projects (warehouses, manufacturing plants, factories, etc.).

• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale industrial projects from inception to completion.

Education:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from a recognized university.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning:

• Lead and manage the design process for complex industrial projects, ensuring all client requirements are incorporated into the final designs.

• Develop detailed architectural plans, layouts, and 3D models for industrial facilities, considering factors like workflow, safety, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, structural, MEP) to integrate architectural solutions with other systems.

• Provide innovative and sustainable design solutions that enhance the functionality and environmental performance of industrial buildings.

2. Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

• Engage directly with clients to understand project objectives, providing expert advice and innovative architectural solutions.

• Present design proposals, cost estimates, and progress reports to clients and key stakeholders.

• Address client concerns promptly and make necessary design revisions to ensure client satisfaction.

3. Project Management:

• Oversee the architectural scope of large-scale industrial projects from conception to completion.

• Ensure that design concepts align with the overall project timelines, budgets, and scope.

• Prepare and review architectural documentation, including drawings, specifications, and presentations.

• Collaborate with project managers to track project progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control throughout all project phases.

4. Site Supervision and Quality Control:

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.

• Ensure that construction practices adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and local building codes.

• Resolve any on-site design or construction issues, liaising with contractors and engineers as needed.

5. Leadership and Team Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and junior architects, fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Provide guidance on technical and design challenges, ensuring team members meet project goals and deliverables.

• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure design integrity and efficient execution.

6. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:

• Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.

• Manage the permitting process and obtain necessary approvals from regulatory authorities.

Skills:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for dealing with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

• Expertise in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, or similar tools.

• Strong knowledge of industrial design principles, including space planning, workflow optimization, and safety compliance.

• Advanced understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical integration into industrial building designs.
