Lead Analyst

As a Credit Risk Assessment Team Lead for a US bank, your primary responsibility will be to oversee a team of 4-6 analysts specializing in credit risk assessment for both Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans. Your expertise in CRE should be in-depth, while knowledge in C&I is considered a bonus. You will be required to review spreads and reports prepared by your team, engaging with clients regularly to discuss analytical aspects and project timelines. Your core tasks will involve researching and analyzing CRE/C&I entities to evaluate their creditworthiness. Your experience in CRE should encompass activities such as gathering updated operating statements, rent rolls, and valuation reports, as well as spreading financials using tools like Sageworks. You should be proficient in conducting CRE cash flow analysis and compiling detailed credit reports. Familiarity with tools like CBRE, CoStar, RCA, REIS, Moodys CMM, and a preference for knowledge in Intex and Bloomberg would be advantageous. For C&I assessments, in addition to the above requirements, you should possess skills in spreading financials from various documents like Audit, Business Tax Returns, and Personal Tax Returns using tools like Sageworks and CreditLens. You must also be adept at analyzing and calculating qualifying income from tax documents such as 1040s, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, 1120S, K1, and transcripts. Knowledge in nCino, Salesforce, RMA reports, and a preference for Intex and Bloomberg expertise will be beneficial. Apart from your core responsibilities, you will also contribute to franchise building activities by writing blogs and articles. Minimum and preferred educational backgrounds for this role include CA, MBA, CFA, or FRM qualifications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of work experience in the field.
