**Position Summary:**

As the Laundry Executive at Scylla Luxury Resort & Spa, you will oversee the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring that all linens, guest clothing, and uniforms are cleaned to the highest standards of luxury and excellence. Your role is critical in maintaining the resort’s reputation for pristine and impeccable service. You will lead and motivate a team, manage inventory, and ensure that all laundry procedures align with the resort’s quality standards.

#### **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Supervision and Team Management:**

- Lead and supervise the laundry staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the resort’s standards.

- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure that the team is knowledgeable about laundry procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.

- Manage work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor productivity to meet daily operational needs.

- **Quality Control:**

- Inspect all laundered items, including linens, guest clothing, and staff uniforms, to ensure they meet the resort's luxury standards.

- Address any issues related to stains, damage, or poor cleaning, and take corrective action as necessary.

- **Inventory and Supply Management:**

- Monitor and maintain inventory of laundry supplies, including detergents, chemicals, and linen stock.

- Place orders for new supplies as needed and maintain records of usage.

- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure adequate supply levels.

- **Equipment Maintenance:**

- Ensure that all laundry equipment is in proper working order.

- Schedule regular maintenance and repairs to avoid downtime and prolong the life of equipment.

- Train staff on the correct use of laundry machinery and safety procedures.

- **Guest Services:**

- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of guest laundry requests, including special instructions for delicate items.

- Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure that guest linens and towels are available and ready for room turnover.

- Handle any guest complaints or concerns related to laundry services promptly and professionally.

- **Health, Safety, and Compliance:**

- Ensure that the laundry area is kept clean and organized, following all health and safety regulations.

- Implement and monitor adherence to all sanitation guidelines and procedures.

- Maintain records of laundering processes, including temperature logs, chemical usage, and safety checks.

- **Continuous Improvement:**

- Identify opportunities to improve laundry processes and service delivery.

- Implement eco-friendly practices where possible to align with the resort's sustainability goals.

- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in laundry management.

#### **Qualifications:**

- **Education:**

- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in laundry management or hospitality management are a plus.

- **Experience:**

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment.

- Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.

- **Skills:**

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

- Proficient in the use of laundry equipment and understanding of textile care.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

#### **Working Conditions:**

- The Laundry executive will primarily work within the resort's laundry facilities, with some time spent in the resort’s guest areas to manage guest service interactions.

- The role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and move heavy loads.

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
