As the Laundry & Dry Cleaning Supervisor cum Manager, your role involves overseeing and managing the daily operations of a laundry and dry-cleaning facility. You will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, optimizing workflow, and delivering high-quality cleaning services. Your ultimate goal is to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction while complying with hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate washing, drying, ironing, folding, dry cleaning, and packaging of garments, linens, and uniforms. - Ensure proper fabric sorting, stain removal, and garment handling based on fabric type and customer preferences. - Implement and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both laundry and dry-cleaning services. - Monitor the use of chemicals, solvents, detergents, and spotting agents to ensure quality cleaning. - Manage workflow and ensure timely pick-up and delivery of laundry and dry-cleaned items. - Manage and train laundry and dry-cleaning staff in best practices, stain removal techniques, machine operation, and fabric care. - Schedule work shifts to ensure smooth operation and efficient workload distribution. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and feedback sessions. - Foster a productive and positive work environment for employees. - Conduct quality checks on finished items to ensure cleanliness, proper pressing, and stain removal. - Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring high satisfaction levels. - Maintain detailed records of lost, damaged, or re-cleaned items and take corrective actions. - Ensure high standards of presentation and packaging of garments before delivery. - Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of dry-cleaning machines, washing machines, dryers, steamers, and pressing equipment. - Monitor and control the usage of cleaning chemicals, detergents, and other laundry supplies. - Keep track of inventory levels and order supplies when necessary to avoid shortages. - Optimize operational costs by minimizing water, electricity, detergent, and solvent waste. - Maintain financial records, track expenditures, and manage budgets efficiently. - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality and efficiency. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in handling chemicals and equipment. - Train staff on safe handling of dry-cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE). - Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, ensuring proper ventilation for dry-cleaning solvents. - Ensure adherence to environmental guidelines regarding the disposal of chemicals and wastewater. Technical & Soft Skills: - Strong knowledge of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and dry-cleaning solvents. - Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laundry & dry-cleaning equipment. - Excellent leadership and team management skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Customer-focused with good communication and interpersonal skills. - Basic computer skills for managing records, billing, and scheduling.,
