Laser Operator

As a Laser Cutting Machine Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain the laser cutting machine efficiently to ensure optimal cutting quality and productivity. Your duties will include setting up the machine as per job requirements, loading and unloading materials, adjusting machine settings for power, speed, and focus, and interpreting technical drawings and job sheets. You will be required to conduct quality control checks to inspect cut parts for accuracy and quality, make minor adjustments to enhance cutting precision, and report any defects or deviations in the cut parts. Additionally, you will need to perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning lenses and nozzles, monitor gas levels and flow settings, and troubleshoot minor machine issues while escalating major problems to the maintenance team. Safety compliance is paramount in this role, and you must adhere to all safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensure proper ventilation during cutting processes, and maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents. Documenting job completion, material usage, and machine performance, as well as reporting any machine breakdowns or production issues, will also be part of your responsibilities. Effective coordination and communication skills are essential as you will collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers, and other machine operators, and provide feedback on process improvements.
