Position: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Land Surveyor

Project Type: Substation (AIS/GIS) / Power Transmission & Distribution

Location: Gurugram

Experience: 5–10 years (preferred in Substation / Transmission Line Projects)

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B. Tech in Civil Engineering or Surveying with relevant certification

Role Purpose:

The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise land and topographical surveys at substation project sites, ensuring accurate data for design, layout, and construction activities. The role involves boundary demarcation, contour mapping, and supporting civil works with reliable survey data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct

  topographical and boundary surveys

  for substation sites.
• Perform

  levelling, traversing, and contour mapping

  using total stations, DGPS, and auto-levels.
• Ensure accurate

  plotting of substation layouts

  , equipment foundations, cable trenches, and control buildings.
• Verify

  benchmarks, reference points, and grid lines

  for construction activities.
• Collaborate with

  design and civil engineering teams

  to provide survey inputs for drawings and layouts.
• Maintain accurate records of

  survey data, maps, and field notes

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  statutory and land acquisition requirements

  for substation land.
• Conduct

  as-built surveys

  and provide final survey reports for project handover.
• Supervise and guide

  survey helpers/assistants

  at site.
• Adhere to

  safety, quality, and environmental standards

  during survey works.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in

  Total Station, GPS/DGPS, AutoCAD, and survey software

  .
• Knowledge of

  substation layouts, equipment positioning, and civil foundations

  .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in

  remote project locations

  with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in

  Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) projects

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  AIS/GIS substations ranging from 132kV to 765kV

  .
• Exposure to

  ROW, land acquisition, and grid alignment surveys

  is an added advantage.
