Land & Legal Renewable Energy Projects- Karnataka , Rajasthan

Key Responsibilities:

1. Land Acquisition & Due Diligence

• Identify, assess, and finalize land parcels suitable for renewable energy projects (private, government, or leased lands).
  
• Conduct

  title due diligence

  , ownership verification, encumbrance checks, and land use classification reviews.
• Coordinate with local authorities, landowners, and brokers to facilitate

  acquisition or leasing

  of land.
• Ensure

  zoning, environmental clearance, and conversion (if needed)

  is completed for project use.

2. Legal Documentation & Compliance

• Draft, review, and negotiate

  land-related agreements

  (sale deeds, lease agreements, right of way, power evacuation easements, etc.).
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and notaries for document validation and registration.
  
• Maintain a repository of all

  land-related legal documentation

  with updated status and compliance certificates.
• Ensure all land transactions are

  in line with local, state, and national legal frameworks

  and renewable energy policies.

3. Risk Management

• Identify potential legal risks (litigation, encroachments, disputes, inheritance claims) and provide

  mitigation strategies

  .
• Support resolution of legal disputes related to land ownership, usage rights, or encroachments.
  
• Monitor

  changes in land acquisition laws

  , real estate regulations, and renewable energy land policies.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal teams (project development, engineering, CSR, finance) and external stakeholders (government departments, village panchayats, land aggregators).
  
• Engage with

  state nodal agencies and local authorities

  for land registration, mutation, and approvals.
• Support community engagement efforts to ensure

  smooth land access and local cooperation

  .

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) required; Masters degree in Law or Real Estate preferred.
  
• Additional certification in land laws, property rights, or energy law is a plus.
