Job Description

You will be responsible for the technical, quality, operations, LIS, safety, and confidentiality aspects of the laboratory. Your primary responsibilities include: - Collecting patient samples and barcoding. - Operating, maintaining, and analyzing patient samples, calibrators, and controls on specified instruments. - Performing internal quality control as per the defined schedule. - Handling, preparing, and maintaining calibrators and controls. - Performing ILC, EQAS, and PT samples. - Monitoring and maintaining accurate testing conditions. - Attending training programs related to quality and technical aspects of the laboratory. - Implementing quality and technical SOPs. - Ensuring quality assurance practices are followed. - Providing stock status to the Lab manager when required. - Operating in assigned shifts. - Handling and maintaining reagents, calibrators, and controls in safe conditions. - Retaining and disposing of samples safely and maintaining records. - Collecting samples and accepting barcodes. - Validating results after reviewing raw data and internal quality control. - Following safety, PPE, and biomedical waste management guidelines. - Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment. - Reporting needle stick injuries to the Pathologist/Lab Manager. - Maintaining confidentiality of information developed during employment. Your secondary responsibilities include any other tasks assigned by the Pathologist/Lab Manager. The job type for this position is full-time.
