Laboratory Assistant

High School Laboratory Assistant General Statement of Duties: Assists school science teachers in the laboratory; Does related work as required. Lab Assistant would circulate between the teachers, and help in class when a hands-on lab is being taught. Classes to Assist With: biology, chemistry, physics Details of the position: The person in this position assists the science teachers in implementing a science laboratory program for high school students. The job requires an aptitude for the sciences, especially biology, chemistry, and physics. A nominal amount of clerical work is part of this position. Assists in setting up laboratory equipment for science classes Assists science teacher in testing out new laboratory experiments prior to classroom implementation Assists students in usage of laboratory equipment Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies Informs science teachers as to when new supplies and equipment are needed, and helps with ordering Keeps laboratory equipment clean and in good working order Collects and distributes lab materials Required knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes Knowledge of science fields, especially biology, chemistry, and physics Ability to establish good rapport with teachers and students Clerical aptitude Ability to help maintain discipline - Tact, courtesy, good judgment, and physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Ability to commute/relocate: Bangalore City, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Master's (Preferred) Language: English (Required) Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 18/06/2025
