Laboratory Assistant

As a High School Laboratory Assistant, your role involves assisting school science teachers in the laboratory. You will circulate between teachers and help in class during hands-on lab sessions for subjects such as biology, chemistry, and physics. Your main responsibilities will include: - Assisting in setting up laboratory equipment for science classes - Testing new laboratory experiments before classroom implementation - Guiding students in the usage of laboratory equipment - Maintaining inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies - Notifying teachers about the need for new supplies and equipment, and assisting with ordering - Ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment - Collecting and distributing lab materials To excel in this role, you should have: - Knowledge of science fields, particularly biology, chemistry, and physics - The ability to build good relationships with teachers and students - Clerical aptitude for handling nominal administrative tasks - Skills to help maintain discipline with tact, courtesy, and good judgment This position requires a Master's degree, and proficiency in English is essential.
