Role Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on India Operations Manager to run day-to-day execution of Mati's field and franchise operations across India . This is a key leadership role responsible for making sure that everything works on the ground from material movement to farmer engagement, from SOP compliance to franchise support. You'll oversee teams and activities at 7-10 regional bases, ensuring timely deployment, data integrity, and operational quality across thousands of field sites and partners. You'll also be responsible for enabling our franchise partners to succeed by offering training, oversight, and systems support. The right candidate will be process-obsessed, thrive in fast-moving environments, and enjoy building systems to bring order to complexity. The role offers leadership opportunity and can grow into Head of Operations and potentially COO over the time once proven. Key Responsibilities Core Operations Own the end-to-end execution of ERW operations across all India field locations. Ensure that feedstock procurement, quality checks, transport, field deployment, sampling, and farmer engagement are running smoothly and on schedule. Coordinate day-to-day needs with local field teams, crushers, logistics vendors, and lab teams. Franchise Management Support the onboarding, training, and launch of new franchise partners in India. Monitor franchise partner compliance with SOPs using the matiC system; troubleshoot operational issues. Ideal Candidate Profile 8+ years of experience in field operations, supply chain, agriculture, or last-mile logistics in India. Role Overview: We're looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Growth Lead for India to spearhead our on-ground sourcing infrastructure and partnerships . This person will be critical in ramping up our sourcing capabilities and building a world-class logistics operation. This person will interface closely with both our science-driven carbon removal operations, and with the commercial ecosystem needed to scale up the deployments across the Indian States including crusher owners, trucking and logistics operators, operational partners, and local government ministries and the NGO stakeholders. You'll thrive in this role if you have a strong commercial instinct, a field-first mindset, and can tackle negotiations with crusher owners and talk to truck drivers. You'll be in the field 25 to 40% of the time, building partnerships that drive scale and efficiency for our mission. Key Responsibilities Sourcing Partner Development Originate, select and build relationships with crusher owners, trucking and logistics companies, local vendors, and franchise partners. Negotiate commercial terms and execute MOUs, rate cards, and SLAs for services and inputs. Field Expansion Scout and develop new deployment regions across India. Evaluate basalt sources, logistical feasibility, and farmer readiness in new geographies. Operational Enablement Serve as the on-ground liaison to ensure smooth coordination of material flow from mines to fields. Strong relevant network and relationships should bring an own trusted network of among one or more of the relevant ecosystem players across operators, trucking and logistics companies, crusher owners etc. Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi (other regional languages a plus).
